Agora’s Solen Room, which translates to “Entertainment Room,” is a recently renovated second floor private event and dining space for special occasions. The Solen Room can accommodate up to 55 seated guests and receptions of up to 80 people. For more information and to reserve the private event space please contact the Events Team at Agora, which can be reached via email at events@agoradc.net.
Guests will find eight bar seats available upstairs in the Solen Room, and they can order from Agora’s extensive bar/wine list and menu featured throughout the restaurant. Agora’s new space will mimic the “Mediterranean oasis” atmosphere of the lower level and provide a unique backdrop for unforgettable parties or meetings. A wall of glass sets off the staircase to the upstairs space, which will feature architectural details of exposed brick, wood flooring and splashes of black fabric that serve as an inviting backdrop for the beautiful Turkish china which is on display.
Critically acclaimed, Lebanese born Executive Chef Ghassan Jarrouj continues to deliver delicious Turkish fare to his diners since the restaurant’s opening in May 2010. With the unveiling of the new private dining space, Jarrouj will highlight signature Turkish dishes with a majority of small plates prepared in the wood-fired oven and charcoal-fired BBQ grill. Those planning a private event will be able to choose between two dinner menu options at two different price points: $45, or $55 a person. The dishes on this menus will be served meze style in multiple small portions meant to be shared. Additionally, Agora will be offering a new hors-d’oeuvres menu for private events. Guests can choose between six hors-d’oeuvres, five hors-d’oeuvres and one spread, or four hors-d’oeuvres and two spreads.
